How it works
1. Buy ticket
Choose your game and amount of players, and complete the purchase. Once payment is confirmed, you’ll receive a WhatsApp message for your booking.
2. Get ready
Get your phones charged, sneakers on and game faces ready. Your tour group can start as soon as you are at your chosen experience’s starting location.
3. Get started
Ready, set, go! You’ll meet your host, Void Deck Cat, via WhatsApp and your game timer will start. You’ll get a run through of how things work.
4. Play
Play the game your way. Some groups make a day out of it, while others sprint between clues. The games are timed which act as your score – incorrect guesses, requests for hints or skipping clues incur time penalties.

Our chatbot, Void Deck Cat, guides you through each game via WhatsApp. You will solve clues, discover hidden gems, check out local businesses, and learn interesting facts and storiesfrom the local neighbourhood.
Most games are timed! Your timing is paused duringscheduled breaks, so take your time when resting. You will be able to see your total time on the leaderboard when your game finishes.
Get help by sending Void Deck Cat the following messages:
- ‘Stuck’: Get an additional hint.
- ‘Lost’: Get directions to the right location.
- ‘Skip’: Skip the clue and move on to the next one.
- You can use any form of map or research
- Ask people in your game play area for help
- No collusion with other teams
- No deliberately obstructing other teams
- Play nice
Once payment has been made, you will receive an email with the setup instructions. You will receive a WhatsApp message from Void Deck Cat and can add team members to your team when you have arrived at the game start point. Each team member will receive the WhatsApp messages so that everyone in the team is updated at the same time with clues/hints.
You will receive most replies within a few seconds. If you are in an area with poor mobile phone reception, you may need to resend your answer.
You should start the game only when you and your team are at the starting point on the day of play. Send Void Deck Cat the message “Start game”, and follow the prompts.
Yes. Based on our experience, our games are recommended for ages 10 and above. Please note that a fair amount of walking is expected while playing our games.
